![]() Their reason was that my car was not towed all the way to their location in Highland Park to be repaired. When the Gregory Dealer was contacted by both the Glenview Dealer and myself, they refused to authorize the repair. It was 7 pm, the only towing company willing to tow my vehicle would do so to the nearest Hyundai Dealer (Glenview, IL, 2 miles away from my location).Īccording to the Glenview Hyundai Dealer and Horizon, the extended warranty company, it is common practice under unusual circumstances for the warranty-selling Dealer to authorize the repair at a different Hyundai Dealer. On December 22nd 2022 during the extreme cold and winter storm conditions, my vehicle did not turn on. I purchased my 2018 Sonata at the Gregory Hyundai in Highland Park, IL along with an "extended warranty". I guess I'm on to transmission #5 at 9500 miles. So here it is mid August and I've been waiting 66 days for Hyundai to make it right and buy back my vehicle, and yesterday, my car once again broke down on the highway. Not to mention trying to get anyone in the service department is impossible. The new GM was the absolutely rudest person I've ever met. I contacted them because some of the paperwork I signed was not in my documents. ![]() I had to have it towed to a much closer Hyundai dealership (shout-out to Rosen Hyundai in Kenosha, top notch service). I had the car for 31 days and the transmission blew while driving on the highway to my sister's spinal surgery (which I obviously didn't make it to) dealer made no effort to attempt to help me in any way. Shame on me for trusting a car dealership. I was advised AFTER starting the paperwork that this was a manufacturer buyback, that it had some transmission issues, but it was all fixed. I purchased a 2022 Hyundai Kona with apx 4500 miles on it.
